Transitional Housing Support & Coaching Program

Grand Rapids is the sixth most competitive rental market in the United States. Because of this competitiveness, it’s difficult for those with no/bad credit history to get housing. Rents have increased to 25% of income on average making it difficult for young adults to secure independent housing.

Why It Matters

For the past 5 years, Meaning in Colors has helped more than 125 families secure safe and affordable housing. Our coaching and mentoring have created pathways for some of them to graduate from the program and attain independent housing.

Lifting Others to Independence

Pouring Into Our Hearts is our transitional housing program that caters to those who are in a housing crisis. We offer three to nine-month housing plans. While in the program, clients will have weekly meetings with a Career Mentor. The Career Mentor will help each client overcome any barriers that prevent them from getting a home. We also provide other services that will help our clients become successful as they transition into their own independent living.
